Eric and Liz, waiting for the beginning of "Golden Dreams"
From the far left: Susan, AJ, Sally, Larry, Jennifer and Sal When Golden Dreams was over, we made our way over to the Disneyland Park. First stop was Fantasmic. And the prime seating at the waterfront was gone. We decided to go on rides, then come back before the first show was through, then make our way down to the front. It's worked in the past, you just have to be quick.
Since we made arrangements to meet at the waterfront, we had to stick around for the rest of the crew to show up. Peggy was supposed to get there about eight, she having left earlier to go to DownTown Disney to watch the Angels on the Jumbotrons that were set up. We waited and watched for the pinwheels. AJ and Susan called the others on their cell phones, to let them know the plan had changed. Finally, with everybody contacted, we headed on over to Fantasyland. We were taking AJ on "it's a small world". Finally. After all these years. The past trips, either we ran out of time, or the ride was down for refurbishment. This year, there would be no excuse.
We stood at the entrance to the line, waiting for the rest of the crew to show up. Sal acted as the line monitor, stopping people before they entered, asking how many in their party. People answered him. Sal was dressed nothing like a cast member. At one point, a legitimate cast member came over and asked why we were all standing there. Sal backed off of his post and we told her that we were waiting for the rest of our party. When she left, Sal started doing a fine job of monitoring. I was laughing so hard I almost wet my pants.
With everybody accounted for, we climbed onto the boat. AJ and I sat in the front, with Jon in between us. The others took seats behind us. I was glad I'd brought the camera.
