Losers aside (and as was pointed out, at least talking about them kept us entertained; there were some pretty crude remarks made about them, think "Deliverance"), the show was wonderful, as always.
Brian and I were pretty beat and were going to head on back home in the morning. The rest of the group was going to take full advantage of those four day passes and the bay girls were set to leave Monday. We said our goodbyes, then left the park in search of food. We hadn't eaten since lunch. Nothing exciting was open at DownTown Disney, but you have to keep in mind, it was almost midnight. We just went back to the room and Brian made us turkey sandwiches. We washed them down with cold milk, the climbed into bed for the night.
I have to say not having a room over DownTown Disney turned out to be a Godsend. I can't even imagine having the baseball fans celebrating under my window. I can't even begin to describe how thankful I was. Before we left, Brian untied the balloon from the balcony railing. While we were following the bellman down to the lobby, where we would pack our car to come home, I saw a little girl with her daddy in the hallway. I asked her if she'd like a balloon, and I handed it to her. Her daddy said "what do you say?", she said "thank you" and we were on our way.
The trip home was quick and uneventful. The cats were glad to see us (or were they more glad to be able to go outside?) I changed the bedding and started laundry. And we both relaxed. It was good to be home.
